MEP®. COL White is an improved adhesive mortar (C2E) for the laying of ceramic coverings and porosity stones ≥ 0.5 and any type of format, on interior walls and floors and exterior floors.
Laying ceramic coverings and stone of porosity ≥ 0.5 and common formats (≤ 2,000 cm²):
Remove all traces of grease, oil, cement laitance.
Remove dust.
Moisten the substrate.
On excessively porous cement substrates - e.g. thin screed - it is recommended to seal the substrate with a MEP® porosity stabiliser. PRIM GP.
In case of holes or significant flatness defects, seal with MEP®. REP Sol.
Stir with 5 to 6 litres of water per 20 kg bag until a soft and homogeneous mortar is obtained.
The paste obtained must be left to rest for 5 minutes.
Spread the adhesive mortar on the support with a trowel or a smoothing machine on a surface of 1 to 2 m², then with the appropriate notched trowel, adjust the thickness.
In the case of double gluing (refer to the associated DTU), follow the above instructions.
Press the ceramic tile covering by beating with a mallet to ensure perfect transfer.
Remove traces of adhesive from the tiles with a damp sponge as you apply the tiles.
Drying time before grouting: approximately 24 hours.
Grouting using products from the MEP® range. JOINT Color / Large / Flex / Rustic / Epoxy.
Respect the correct execution of the joints (peripheral / movement / expansion).
On old media:
Probe existing coatings to ensure their good hold.
Remove blown or insufficiently adherent tiles.
Glue the missing elements back together or rectify any planimetry defects ≤ 10 mm directly with MEP®. REP Sol.
En douche et bassin :
Make sure that the support is well maintained.
Apply MEP® beforehand. DRY Flex (flexible waterproofing mortar).
